Lab books do not need to be detailed long write-ups. They should however contain enough information for someone to repeat the work in them using only the lab book as a reference. When grading labs, the following elements are important in satisfying this requirement
(1) Introduction/Purpose
(2) Procedure
(3) Data and plots
(4) Analysis/Discussion
(5)Summary/Conclusions In addition to the above, we are also looking for your pre-lab work that has been signed, and answers to the various questions scattered throughout the lab.
